The general poker rules apply to 5-card stud poker. These include the pack of cards, rankings of cards and hands, and various other basics. The number of players at a 5-card Stud table can be anywhere from 2 to 10. To begin, the dealer deals each player one card face down, (known as the hole card). Next, he deals each player a card that is face up. After that, he places the pack face down on the table in front of himself. The hole card remains unknown to the opposing players.
The player with the highest-ranking upcard makes the opening bet. The next bettor, to the left of the first better, has several options. He can stay, raise the pot, or re-raise. Once all is finished, the dealer, much like the blackjack dealers, deals another upcard to the players. We will continue growing these online casino game rules on the next page. |
